The volunteer opportunities listed below are designed to help get the donated items collected, sorted, and ready for pick up by the families we serve. We take individual sign ups, but also welcome school, church, social, and family groups as well as work teams. We invite you to sign up as a volunteer group - it makes the experience even more fun and rewarding.
Fill-A-Truck & Drive-By Drop Off Events - A chance for a smaller group of volunteers to assist with collecting toys at one of our Fill-A-Truck events as/if needed
Organization & Set-Up - Volunteers will help move boxes and bags of toys out of PODS, set up the space in the Home Church, and do some initial sorting.
Sorting - Consists of coming to the facility and helping to organize the toys by gender and age group in order to make the bagging process run more smoothly. Groups can arrange to come in prior to this date when the rooms will be open to help sort for an hour or two.
Bagging - Consists of tracking and fulfilling the applications submitted for the program and getting the toys bagged and ready for the families to pick up.
Distribution - Consists of locating each bag by family or application and distributing the bag to each family when they arrive to pick up their toys. There are a variety of "jobs" on distribution day, including check-in, traffic direction, interacting with families, and passing out bags.
Clean Up - Once bags of toys are distributed to families, volunteers are needed to help pack up remaining toys for storage. (Early January 2026- Dates TBD)
