The volunteer opportunities listed below are designed to help get the donated items collected, sorted, and ready for pick up by the families we are serving this year. This year will be different in how we sign our volunteers up due to COVID and the current restrictions of our county being in the purple tier. We are looking for Cohorts or Pods of 4-15 people to sign up for each shift. We cannot take individual sign ups this year, so please look to your school, church, family group, work team, etc. that you are already in a Cohort or Pod with and sign up as a group this year.
Please note that in order to volunteer, all COVID related protocols will be in place and will need to be followed. Mask are required and we will maintain social distancing and will be providing hand sanitizer.
Fill-A-Truck & Drive-By Drop Off Events (Cohort of 4) - A chance for a smaller group of volunteers to assist with collecting toys at one of our Fill-A-Truck or Drive-By Drop Off Events. (Multiple Dates and Times)
Sorting (Cohort of 10) - Consists of coming to the facility and helping to organize the toys by gender and age group in order to make the bagging process run more smoothly. (Dec. 13th & 14th)
Bagging (Cohort of 10) - Consists of tracking and fulfilling the applications submitted for the program and getting the toys bagged and ready for the families to pick up. (Dec. 15th &16th)
Distribution (Cohort of 10-15) - Happens over a two-day period. Consists of locating each bag by family or application and distributing the bag to each family when they arrive to pick up their toys. This will be as contact-less as possible. (Dec. 17th & 19th)
